Presented November 3rd, 2023, i don’t remember falling asleep was an audiovisual performance/installation by composer and performer Joseph Bourdeau. Sampled audio and video is processed by, and rendered on a number of damaged or outdated electronics to create surreal electroacoustic environments. Drawing from sources including found tapes, television bumpers, live radio and original material, these environments swing frequently between dense, chaotic collages, and feedback saturated, ambient soundscapes.
This show presented three channels of synchronized video on six screens, with stereo audio including a live component performed using two turntables, AM/FM radio, and voice.
